I’ve been fascinated with calendars and the business of days, months, and years since I was a kid. I used to love it when the new year rolled around because my mom would give me the previous year’s calendar and I could cut it up and reorganize days and months to my heart’s content. After getting my degree in library science, I created Calendar Craze.

Calendar Craze is run by a team of calendar and holiday enthusiasts and our mission is to help people love and celebrate every single day.

Here at Calendar Craze, we’re serious about calendars, years, months, and days. We think all days are equally important. Most of the days in the year correspond to a holiday somewhere in the world, and many days have good old homespun American holidays attached.

For example, did you know that there is a special day for Lima Bean Respect? April 20th of every year isn’t just about celebrating marijuana. Lima beans get love, too.

Speaking of love, are you celebrating National Kissing Day properly? If not, you should be. Maybe you and your significant other can cook a big old pot of lima beans and celebrate together.

Don’t like that idea? Well, don’t worry. The team at Calendar Craze offers up ideas on how to celebrate your favorite holidays, the ones you already know and the ones that are new to you.

It’s not just lima beans and smooches that deserve a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Every occasion and every holiday deserves some love. Every single day of the year is special in one way or another.

Here are some of the most unusual holidays that aren’t being celebrated nearly enough.

  • Book Lovers Day (August 9th)
  • National Thrift Shop Day (August 17th)
  • National Hangover Day (January 1st)
  • Bubble Gum Day (February 1st)
  • Ear Muff Day (March 13th)
  • Walk on the Wild Side Day (April 12th)
  • Beautiful Day (November 20th)

Well, we think every single day is a beautiful day, not just November 20th.

Besides all of this great information about obscure but awesome holidays, we also provide you with free printable calendar templates every month. Even better, in every month’s freebie calendar post, we list all of the holidays and happenings to expect in that month.

If you’re just becoming interested in learning more about calendars and holidays, we welcome you to our site and our community. We hope you find our resources fun and helpful. We’d love to hear from you, whether it’s a comment on an article or a private message to our team.

However you found us, and whatever you do, remember to celebrate each and every day! We hope to hear from you soon.
